It is full of adventure,terror,a big satanic monster who is capturing young women who are coming to Hollywood to find careers. The story is full of marvelous characters like Charlie Chaplin,Douglas Fairbanks,Gary Cooper and many other famous stars.Don miss this fantastic book!

Golemon - from his Event Group novels to his stand-alone thrillers. I pre-order them as soon as they're available, and I've read and enjoyed them all very much. His plots are creative, his characters are fully realized, and his writing is spot on.I was ecstatic when Whiter Shade of Pale became available a couple of weeks ago. I keep track of my favorite authors pretty closely but wasn't aware of this book's publication. I enjoyed the book - inventive plot, heroes, monsters, and Hollywood legends - what's not to love? Unfortunately, it felt as though I was reading a first draft of the manuscript. Proof-reading appeared non-existent - I lost count of the instances when the noun/verb tenses didn't match, the number of grammatical errors that made it into the book, the use of inappropriate/incorrect adjectives/words, and the flagrant disregard for apostrophes and the possessive case. It did not seem that the book had benefited from the services of a decent editor, either, as the writing was not tight and the prose didn't flow as it usually does with Mr. Golemon's books. I kept checking to make sure the author was, indeed, David Golemon. I literally couldn't believe that an author of his stature and experience would release a book that was so clearly lacking professional review.I rarely write reviews; however, the errors in this book are so egregious that I felt compelled to comment. I give Whiter Shade of Pale 3 stars because the bones of a good book are there. It could so easily have been a very good or even great book.(Please note that this review refers to the Kindle version of Whiter Shade of Pale.)

Sure it has few typos, but who really cares. The story is genre busting at its best. More people need to enjoy this book. Tell a friend.
