Max becomes friends with an elm tree he calls Ellie.One day when he comes to visit Ellie he notices lumberjacks with chain saws and tells them they can't cut down Ellie because she is his friend who talks to him. Of course the Lumberjacks think the kid is crazy but when he starts to ramble off their names they second guess themselves.This is a perfect book to read to young children when trying to define what real friendships mean. The illustrations make this book so easy to follow.

It's touching, heart felt and an emotional piece that touches on one of the most important issues of today. Has a great message and truly show what a real friendship is all about. I also like the Illustrations in the piece. I am truly looking forward to reading upcoming works from this author. Amazing!
