After every book of hers that I read, I think I probably write the same opening in every review. But it's the truth!This book blew me away. As much as I loved reading Volume 1, Volume 2 had so many more surprises that I never saw coming. We run into our friends from the first book, meet some new ones, and finally see the Reid/Taylor/Davis couples plus a few extra kids.In the end of the first book, the elder Bennington Duke--Grandpa Harry, comes to the rescue for Jane and Max by making sure the couple has the wedding they wanted, but was bamboozled out of. Only it has to be done it less then 2 weeks. The Duke offers her the use of his Italian Villa along with his staff that's seldom used for parties anymore. ALSO included in that package is his personal assistant, Chloe to run the whole show. Having never coordinated a wedding before,Chloe tackles this like she does any other job given to her, with gusto!On the personal front, Brendan just got news from his boss that he got a promotion, he has 6 weeks to move to L.A. Every time things start to get serious between the 2 of them, they get interrupted by either his job or her job. That evening out with Chloe, Brendan all but chickened out, not telling her about being transferred. When they get interrupted during dinner by Michael calling for the Duke, telling her that they need to be in Italy. So she cuts dinner short to pack for her trip, Brendan loses his temper and takes it all out on Chloe. He's only mad because she's not pining over him, it never would have worked out. He wants to see IF this relationship could lead to something, he has a lot of feelings for Chloe, but the two of them haven't spent enough time together to know where but can go. Before Brendan moves to L.A., he still tries to talk her into having a trans-continental relationship with him. Before her planning this wedding, they had gone several weeks without seeing each other, yet NOW that he's ready to move and Brendan wants to try ONLY because the Alpha male in him wants to make sure that Chloe remains “HIS.” What he doesn't know is that he will find out if they are meant for each other 10 years later when Chloe is in L.A. planning another wedding.After pulling off a beautiful, successful, wedding in less then 10 days, (while enjoying every minute of it) Chloe not only impresses Grandpa Harry and the whole Reid Clan—especially the Bride & Groom,(who insist on paying Chloe for an amazing job.) Chloe knows that this was what she was born to do. A few weeks later, Grandpa Harry introduces Chloe to Pierre, one of the most sought out wedding planners around. After having heard such rave reviews about the wedding she threw on her own, Pierre HAD to meet her. By the end of dinner, he hires her to join his company, be his protégé and learn everything and anything she can from Pierre and travel the world in the process. Chloe proves her worth pretty fast and soon she's off running around the world creating/planning weddings, eventually opening up her own company.But the catalyst that pushed her away from the 1 person she loved more than anything was this event. At the END of Jane's wedding, Chloe was being all melancholy watching all the couples together and he wanted to know what was wrong with his friend. She told him nothing, that she was fine and dried her tears, but Michael being Michael pushed. So they sat down and had a serious conversation. She had asked him who his first love was. He told her his first love and only true love was Laney Reid, (who's happily married and 8 months pregnant.) that hurt Chloe more than she let on, being that they were each others first sexual experience. It obviously meant a lot more to Chloe than it did to Michael. His answer made her decision to distance herself a lot easier as well.The last time they see one another before their decade long span she asks him this.“When you're eighty, would you remember your first love with fondness, almost a yearning to recapture that love?Would I, and our love, be that memorable to you? Back when we were together, would your life have stopped if I had left you and moved to a different continent? Would you have come after me?”Michael's response was “That's a hell of a lot more than one question, Chloe.” Chloe said “That's what I thought, Michael. I'll see you again soon.”About 8 years later, he sees her for about 5 minutes. He has an actual conversation with her2 years after that.Michael went through some things himself, Niles, his cousin, and him went into the coffee business—quite successful too. He was engaged twice. One engagement was for the wrong reasons, she wanted the title, money, and what came with being a Duchess. The dinner parties, social events, etc. The other, Michael realized a little too late, that she wasn't his best friend, she wasn't Chloe. His Grandfather is now 94 years old and still living alone. He realizes belatedly that the Duke will always be in love with Estelle Cowper Reid Ascot, whom is now a widow. Michael contacts Emily and Jake and forms a plan to get these senior citizens down the aisle. Michael tracks down Chloe and hires her to plan the wedding. Although she's under the impression that the wedding she's planning is his and refuses. That's when he finds out that she still has feelings for him and is ecstatic. He has a long way to go to prove that he is worthy of her love, though.Meanwhile,while in L.A. she see her old roommate Cat, and happens to run in Brendan and his adorable 5 year old son, Nolan, in the process. Taken by complete surprise, the divorcée is dumbstruck to realize her still has unresolved feelings for the one who he “let get away.”Who wins Chloe's heart as both men try to woo HER back into their lives and snag a piece of her heart? Brendan and Nolan the charming duo—Chloe has a soft spot for kids, she's always wanted one and he capitalizes on that. Where Michael knows how Chloe feels, it's convincing her that he cares about her and loves her too.Read On!!

Laird I absolutely love DW Cee, I have ever since I purchased Emily's story and I will continue even thought Reiders family series is almost over But she has some new series coming. DW has given us the Reiders Family, an epic saga of friendship, love and family; and plus two of the longest awaited weddings. This is the story of the long awaited union of Chloe and Michael was filled with longing, disappointments, heartache, and angst; but once Michael got his act together, the rest of the journey was pure bliss. Chloe has loved Michael ever since they were little and she has been disappointed by him time and again. But now ten years later when Michael calls Chloe to plan his grandfather Harry's wedding to the women he has loved for a long, long, long time. Michael finally recognizes that he loves Chloe and only Chloe. But Chloe won't just take him back after everything he will have to work for her. As always, DW takes us reiders cross country and around the world to romantic locales, setting just the right scene for amour. Thanks DW for the special surprise way you included all of are old friends to help us celebrate out newest coupling. So glad we can now look forward to our second generation of Reid's, Taylor's and Davis's. Plus your new series. Thanks so much.

I laughed and cried right along with Emily and Jake and became a "Reider" after that first D. W. Cee book. For the last three years I have read every book written by D. W. Cee and loved every single one. The author makes you feel like you are a part of the Reid family. Finally Love is the story of Chloe and Michael. These two characters have been introduced through out most D. W. Cee's previous books and we finally get to see them with their own story. Seeing them finally reunite and find the love they deserve is definitely worth the read. If you have never read one of this authors's books, I would recommend starting at beginning of the journey with Indelible Love: Emily's story. You will be hooked. Thank you D.W. Cee for inviting us to the cul de sac.
