Excellent beginner's guide to prepping By Kitty Smith Thanks to the popularity of shows like Doomsday Prepper, Apocalypse 101, Doomsday Bunkers, etc, the average guy on the street seems to think preppers are either people with too much money or not enough teeth. The reality is that a prepper is anyone who hopes for the best, but plans for the worst. Really that should be all of us.Julian Hulse has put together an excellent beginner's guide to prepping. The prepper staple, the bug out bag, is discussed at length, as is the general argument for prepping in the first place. There's some discussion about the importance of having like minded people to work with as well as the value of creating both communications and training plans. It's a thought provoking read designed to answer the questions you didn't realize you needed to ask just yet, and hopefully motivate you to take the next step towards being prepared for whatever life might through your way.

While I used to make fun of them, a recent visit and some in-depth conversations about current events made me think that maybe I should look into this. I picked up author Julian Hulse's guide to Prepping and there are some fantastic tips here about getting started with prepping and putting together a bug out bag. I love that there are ideas for doing this on a budget and even some great history on prepping. We have starting putting many of these ideas to use and have found this to be a great guide.
